1. Acceptance of Agreement

You may make a donation of as little as Rupees 100/- to Mpower, an initiative of Aditya Birla Education Trust. No cancellation, change or refund will be granted once the online transaction is completed. Please confirm that the total amount of your donation and other information are correct before proceeding. However, if the fund is illegally obtained and/or judged to damage the reputation of Aditya Birla Education Trust, we shall be bound to act as per the prevailing laws (including prevention of money laundering legislation), which may require us to forfeit the donation or report/remit it to the regulatory authorities, as may be applicable. We reserve our right not to accept your donation, without assigning any reason therefor.

2. Tax-Deductible Contributions

All online donations, contribution made towards MPower are exempted under section 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961. The exemption certificates will be sent to the contributor who has requested for the same while making online donation. The tax exemption under Section 80G is applicable only for donations made within India.

3. Security and Fees

Mpower is pleased to be able to offer you the convenience of making secured online payments. Please be advised that making an online payment does not immediately change any disposition related to your account.
Any payment made will be posted until the next business day. We reserve the right to decline the acceptance of an online payment if your account is in default for any reason. We encourage you in addition to printing your receipt for your records. Mpower has entered into an agreement with TechProcess Solutions Limited (TPSL), a third party provider that processes online payments, to allow payment of such obligations as school fees and similar requirements by credit card or internet banking to any persons desiring to do so.

All transactions take place within a secure payment system using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, a standard which is supported by most Internet browsers. All personal details that you provide are protected using 128-bit encryption when transmitted over the Internet. The information and data you provide to Mpower during this on-line transaction will be used only for the purpose of recording your payment. Mpower will abide by the principles of the Data Protection Laws of India and ensure that the information is used for no other purposes and is not disclosed to any third parties. Mpower therefore assumes no liability for the security of such financial and personal information and makes no representation as to the advisability of using online payments. As with any web-based service, it is the consumer’s ultimate judgment, free choice, and assumption of any risk involved in utilising this methodology for paying obligations. If you are in a public place when making this payment we advise you to ensure that nobody is watching you as you enter your details, this will prevent your details being fraudulently misused. Please note that a convenience fee will be added to your charge transaction as under:

Please note that we do not accept foreign contributions.

Such convenience fees are to compensate for gateway (processing) fees and associated costs to Mpower in order to be able to facilitate this payment option. Aditya Birla Education Trust does not warrant for the completeness, accuracy, of any information or statement or the reliability of the services offered by the TPSL website.

The trustees, employees, officers, and other representatives of Aditya Birla Education Trust expressly disclaim any liability for any deficiency of services offered by TPSL, whose website you would be accessing.

Neither the trustees of Aditya Birla Education Trust nor its officers and employees and other representatives will be liable or responsible for any loss or damage that you may incur in the event of any deficiency of services, failure or disruption of the TPSL website or resulting from the act or omission by TPSL.

4. Handling of Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information

The Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information provided by donors will be kept strictly confidential. The information is used and retained only to process the transactions and not to be disclosed unless you have given us permission to do so. Please note that we may be required to disclose your Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information to the government, law enforcement agencies, or authorities under certain circumstances.
